About
I’m Kyle J Clay. I Help Entrepreneurs Build Their Dreams.

Jesus follower, loving husband, and a hands-on dad—that is me in a nutshell. I deeply value the freedoms afforded to me in this country, understanding intimately that “Freedom is not Free,” a truth underscored by my two tours in Iraq as a combat engineer officer. I’m as American as they come, and proud of it!
Drawing inspiration from my dad, who kicked off his small business 40 years ago, I’m here to help folks discover their passion and purpose. I believe that small businesses are the heart beat of America, and my mission is to offer unwavering support to the leaders in the trenches of entrepreneurship.

Holding a Bachelor of Science in Economics from West Point and a Master of Business Administration from Vanderbilt, my academic foundation is strong and credible. This education, paired with hands-on leadership experience over 13 years at Fortune 500 company DaVita and at private equity-backed firms (serving as COO of Pain Doctor and President of Signature Dental Partners), provides me with the unique skills and insights to help you uncover immediate and practical solutions and progress. My background equips me with the essential knowledge and confidence to assist you effectively in your professional journey.
When I’m not working, you’ll catch me hiking or traveling with my family. Do you have a favorite camping spot? I’d love to hear about it! And yes, giving back is important to me. That’s why I volunteer at Scottsdale Bible Church, facilitating small groups of Men’s and Marriage programs. Let’s connect!

Coach Clay Core Values
01.
Integrity
Integrity is the core of both a purposeful life and a successful business. This commitment to integrity in practice means:
- Upholding commitments is key. The phrase “Do what you said you would do” is a guiding principle, ensuring reliability in meetings, follow-ups, and phone calls.
- If there’s a mismatch between your goals and my services, I’ll not only step aside but also actively help you find someone who is a better fit. Your satisfaction is vital, so if you’re not content with the services provided, we will work together to make things right.
- I approach clients where they are deploying available tools and resources to support their progress effectively.
02.
Balance
I hold that when I am in balance with the gifts, values, and purpose, I can fulfill the positive role in practice, this belief manifests as follows:
- My initial step is always rooted in reflection questions such as:
- What unique gifts do you have?
- How do you perceive success?
- Who is blessed through interaction with you, and how?
- Instead of striving for unattainable perfection that might come from goal attainment, I will encourage you to value and integrate curiosity and self-awareness into daily life and practices.
- With humility, I will ask open-ended questions, confront assumptions, and reevaluate beliefs, while fostering an environment that is a bit of a safe container for you to explore.
03.
Community
“The next best thing to being wise oneself is to live in a circle of those who are.” C.S. Lewis
Practically, this value is lived out by:
- Actively seeking and contributing to communities that offer new ideas, challenge your assumptions, and support your personal and professional growth.
- Using your talent to connect like-minded individuals and making these connections whenever possible.
- Carefully developing and leading group programs to connect people with the necessary tools, ideas, and experiences to build thriving, purposeful initiatives like a mastermind group.
